[BUSINESS] can you buy another persons site and affiliate accounts
Working on a price to buy this site with 12 sponsors being promoted on there and the seller wants to sell me the site and transfer the 12 sponsor accounts to me, is this something that sponsors will not have a problem with, he says once I paypay him the payment he will transfer ownership of the site at namecheap.com and change the sponsor accounts to me.
It does not seem too complicated but just want to ask here before I send his payment.

It's possible but I have a couple of questions for you.
1. Do you know the seller.
2. Does he own the site, have you checked.
3. Get him to transfer the accounts before you pay him.
Sending stranger money for a site and his accounts (which is the least of my problems) having nothing in return could be a problem if he gets the money and decides to ignore you

I do know people that have bought accounts before and had no issues. Just to be sure, though, might as well email those programs and see what they say about it.

Any rebills will add to the value of the purchase price so it should be considered.

We have had this happen with a few of our affiliates that have been bought out so its not unusual
But like others say, I would be very careful. Know how many rebills your getting for each sponsor etc and maybe do a deposit then get him to transfer things before you send the final payment

This question bugged me last year when I bought a site, who blinks first the seller or buyer. Someone has to send the payment or transfer the site first.

$2300 you do not know the other party play it safe go with escrow.com fees are $74.50 each party, peanuts for peace of mind.
My suggestion.

Just out of interest, how did you come to that price ?
As far as I know (and I admit Ive limited experience here) the value of a site is usually around 15 to 18 months revenue plus any extra if its a well known brand. Thats what I was offered a couple of years ago for TAC. Told them to bugger off lol
