US Congress just passed HR 1865, "FOSTA", seeking to subject websites to criminal and civil liability when third parties (users) misuse online personals unlawfully. Any tool or service can be misused. We can't take such risk without jeopardizing all our other services, so we are regretfully taking craigslist personals offline. Hopefully we can bring them back some day.

To the millions of spouses, partners, and couples who met through craigslist, we wish you every happiness!

One reason and only reason i never promoted escort affiliate sites, escorts are not what the true definition is in the dictionary, they are prostitutes looking for John's.

I never wanted to deal with escort sites, on the old sponsorchat I think 3 or 4 escort programs wanted to advertise over the past 3 years and I said no. I just did not feel comfortable doing business with any site masquerading as an escort site but in reality they were just prostitution businesses. Personally I think prostitution is not a crime and should be legal, but I don't make the laws so i try abide bye them. I actually support legalizing prostitution, because it will lead to less sexually transmitted diseases, safer for the women in that industry and reduce the corruption and crime involved. But who am I to say.
