Being single most of the time I eat sandwiches and fast food, not a cook so i'm thinking what can a single guy cook for himself that is more healthy that sandwiches, burgers, pizza and frozen microwave dinners. Ideas idea ideas please.

In the same place you are with my life. My friends are all with some one so I feel outa place tagging along when they're with their women.
Cooking forget it, I buy a Costco chicken and make fries or a salad, one chicken lasts me 3 days. I buy ready made dinners at the deli here pne a week. The other 3 nights I go out have a nice meal and I'm cutting costs by not drinking as much when I go out. I buy the drinks and have it at home.
I'll give you an example, I went out on Saturday with 2 friends, my dinner which was ribs with grilled shrimp, baked potato, a small dinner salad and coffee with a slice of apple rumble cost only $47 plus tip. My bar tab was $56 just my drinks. Now with $56 I can by a lot more and save some if I drink at home. I don't do this too often, when I go out for a meal at night I try keep it right round $30-$35 with tips.

The study found that, on average,

men who typically ate a Westernized diet of pizza, snacks, sweets and processed foods

produced around 68 million fewer sperm upon ejaculation than men who ate a more healthy, balanced diet.

I stopped eating fast food and reduced my fried foods a lot since last summer. I like barbecuing all sorts of things on my charcoal grill, the only time I turn on the propane grill is to do burgers and steaks for the family.

I cook soup every week. It takes about 40 minutes to cook it, but when it is ready you can keep it in refrigerator and just to use microwave oven before your dinner at any time. This will save you a lot of money and it it is healthy food.

Me and the hubby are trying to eat less red meat and more chicken and veggies. We eat more at home because he eats out at lunch, and every other weekend he travels for work, so he misses home cooking. I guess he enjoys my cooking (or never complains when I prepare food)

Looking at this objectively I would say not too healthy. My favorite foods are not good for you if you want to know.

Domino's does well with me when I'm too tired to go buy something to eat. And a large pie lasts me 2 days.
