easy way to reduce hackers getting to your blogs is to keep your WP updated, all plugins and themes updated too.

Any site can be hacked, just happens to have been one using this theme.

Jail time and a life time ban from using the internet would be the best solution to teach these people a lesson.

There was a pretty big bug at a company that I used to work for, if a certain code was up at the same time as someone logged in, the account deleted. I thought it was funny and fixed it before surfers found out. :p

As for WP, ...no one here has ever been curious about those WP3 and earlier vulnerabilities in the MySQL databases and "tested" an injection?..

Getting bounties is big business if you're good enough. Some people just do it for fun, though.

Fortunately the ones that go after big sites get more attention and arrested. No one chases the hackers on smaller sites unfortunately.
