Goodbye Europe

#1

Post by TheButcher » January 31st, 2020, 12:13 pm

Finally Brexit is done and the UK will be out of the European Union tonight. It's a new start tomorrow, a failed miserable exercise that started January 1st 1973.

Good riddance to it.

Boris pulled it off with Nigel Farange's help. I think Nigel has not recieved the recognition for what he did, to help Boris and the Conservatives win a majority in the Commons and get the Brexit deal passed.

Watch Nigel's last speech at the European parliament.

One day I plan on visiting Europe, renting a car and driving around the various countries. Never seen any place in Europe but it is on my to do list. Like make it a 2 month trip.

What should never have happened, they sold it to the British people back then as a Common market, in reality it was to be a centralized undemocratic European bureaucracy micromanaging 28countries from Brussels. Telling countries what to do, how to control their borders, where to fish, what to eat....

The bullshit is over for the UK, it is now a sovereign self determining democracy once more. This will be the beginning of the end for Europe.

This would be like California breaking away form the rest of the country, unheard of.

The irony is so many countries want to join the European Union and they are not being accepted. Now with the UK out these other countries might have an easier time to join up so the Union appears strong and viable.

France is now the only country in Europe with nukes. That makes them the real military power in the EU.

The UK is not really part of 'Europe' it is an island, the other member states are all on the continent of Europe, this might have always been a problem feeling integrated. It's lie Hawaii for us, it is a separate bunch of islands, not part of the continent if you get my drift.

Not the best time to go visit Europe or any where with this Coronavirus all over the place. Stay home, stay safe.
