[BUSINESS] what sort of scam is this

#1

Post by misterporn » August 2nd, 2019, 7:17 am

I let a domain expire last October and every few weeks I get a "Renewal" notice email from various places, none of them registrars or the one I had used registered it at, telling me it is not too late to renew the domain for $110.

read the bottom of the email, I would bet is says it is an advertisement.

Which is a legal disclaimer. These are legal scams.

It is NOT a scam, it is legal, thus not a scam, so no that have not nailed them yet as it is legal to do this.

if it does not have something like this at the bottom, then it MIGHT be a scam and MIGHT be illegal.

Pay attention to where it says
This message contains promotional material strictly along the guidelines of the Can-Spam act of 2003

This means the/YOUR government made this a legal act by creating this law. Most people think laws are made to make acts illegal, when if fact laws are made to allow people/corporations able to get away with more, as long as they add a few sentences to their disclaimer. sorry this might cause cancer and kill you but since we told you, now you can not sue us for it hahaha ha. thanks government for protecting our interests and not the peoples. so we can get richer by hurting people.
