Reading up on php. I have to get a handle on being able to do my own code.

I want to switch things up and develop a VR game that I've had in mind for a long time now. Just have to find some investors so I can focus on that for a year or so.

I'm thinking about 80-120k depending on a couple details on hardware and I would like to get a small 2 room office for space since it's VR. I'll have to make a more detailed budget, though. Also depends if I'll have to hire anyone for help, but I've made 3d games in C# in the past and would basically be the same code. Just little differences like having to optimize for the camera rendering twice, minimal HUD, avoid transparencies, etc.
It's not exactly a game, either, more of an app to help anxiety/stress/depression with different sections to either get away from things, cheer you up or relieve stress. First main app will be a "reading room" with different scenes/ambiance with a virtual book or tablet that you can upload to. I'm thinking about 30 different 'mini games'.
I have over 20 years experience with 3ds Max/Maya and countless similar 3d programs, too.

I wish man that is way out of my league, I can chip in 5 to 8G for a small share bot nothing as much as it takes to do it, all the best.

I know what you mean, and most video game budgets are much higher. Like, even Full Throttle had a $1mil budget lol.
I'm thinking about looking into crowd funding, too.

I pace myself so as not to fall behind too much and then have to stress. Right now just the usual stuff nothing too exciting.

Not the same thing, but I've seen a VR app used to help address agoraphobia with exposure therapy. It was in a TV show. LOL. Such an app could be helpful with a number of phobias such as acrophobia, agoraphobia, etc by teaching individuals to manage their anxiety level thru safe and controlled exposure within the VR environment prior to moving on to RL.
It's probably just a matter of time until VR will be part of standard psychotherapy. Good idea to get in early if you have the skill set
