[BUSINESS] server monitoring options

#1

Post by ispdn » January 16th, 2019, 10:25 am

My server is having problems for the past few days. It is a managed server but I have to open tickets to tell the hosting support department my server is down again.

Do you know of any good server monitoring scripts that will text or email me when the server goes down.

Simple solution won't cost you a cent, move to a host that has very few outages or down times.

Some hosts will actually monitor managed servers and fix them when they get the warning message that it is down.

Why pay a company to tell you your server is down, that is the job of your host, they have to do it for free. You are not paying the host for a server that is not functioning.

Never paid for anything as this and if you are hosted at a reputable host they should be on it.

One free website you can always use is downforeveryoneorjustme.com I know it is not what you are asking for but this is a good option when you think your sites are down or if it could be the connection to your server.
