Did you watch apples October 30th Keynote?
I did and am really liking what they did with the MacMini, 6 core intel CPU with up to 64GB of ram... Not bad at all.
Did you watch? Did you like or dislike anything?
What did you think of the new macbook air?

No I haven;t but that manMini seems a great little box of tricks for the price and doesn't take up a lot of desk space. I was actually thinking of getting one when my MacBook crapped out month back, but ended up with my son's MacBook Air since he went and got himself a new PRO.

Yea MacMini is essentially a macbook pro in a different chasis in a sense. Its a powerful little machine, if you do not need high end internal graphics or ECC RAM on a desktop then it's the way to go if your workflow is on a mac and you do not want to use a laptop.TheButcher wrote: ↑October 30th, 2018, 12:17 pmNo I haven;t but that manMini seems a great little box of tricks for the price and doesn't take up a lot of desk space. I was kinda hoping they would announce a new Mac Pro desktop.

Yes watched it and they came out with some good updates/upgrades.
The Minimac is more than most people including myself requires.
I am thinking of getting one for myself this Christmas and doing away with my scratched up laptop.

People sleep outside Apple retail stores over night to buy the latest editions of the iphone and ipad's, so they know what they are doing.

They sell good products and that is how they command the high prices, people buy them up.

Every Apple gadget I have bought has lasted way longer than the non-Apple one's I used to buy. I used to go through laptops in less than a year, my last MacBook lased a long time, I hope this Air has a long life too which I am sure it will. The other day I smashed the screen on my Iphone 8 Plus and took out the SIM card put it in my ancient Iphone 5 and it started up instantly, I get back my reconditioned 8 tmorrow , but just goes to show, they make some nice long lasting stuff.

Seriously right? But also how small can they make it? They are able to cram everything into such tiny frames because we are able to shrink down CPU's, GPU's, and NPU's, cutting them down to 14nm or smaller. The problem we are facing is going too small with components, because quantum physics kicks in and things get a little crazy.
