do you drink alone
Saturday night and sitting here eating my Pizza and drinking all alone. My GF wants time alone to think about my proposal. After dinner I had the waiter bring over a bottle of Moet Chandon ,got down on one knee last night in the middle of a very well known restaurant took out a box with an engagement ring proposed to her. I never expected this the day after, she told me today she wants a few days alone.
So do you ever sit drink alone or what?

I have a beer or two every night after supper. Just like now on #2.
It's a very big decision for anyone to make so give her the time and space to think it through. It might even be the best thing for the two of you whatever she decides.
Just don't over do the booze, it's not good for your health, it really won't make you a better person or change her reply when she tells you what she wants and nothing will change if you drink for self silly or not. Actually if i was in your shoes I would rather the woman i proposed to made a thought out decision for life than just got carried away in the excitement and heat of the moment.
But hey I I know this is not want you expected or want to hear from me or anyone else, but best sit it out and know where you two stand than rush into some answer.
Whatever she says, respect and love her for her answer. When you ask the question there are at least 2 replies, so you have to be prepared for either or more.
I am calling it a night, let me know whatever the result.
Good luck brotha.
Peace

She didn't say no. She's giving it thought. That's a good thing. I'm sure that he'd given it thought before he popped the question.

Fetish you might have caught her off guard and in a public place, give her the time and space for her to decide.

Not heard from her since then and her messages go straight to voice mail, left her 10 or so. I talked to her sister last night just to see if she was okay. Her sister said she is staying at her parents and is fine.

I think that is plain ridiculous. If what you have said is the way it was. You think the woman you love and with is ready and open to making a commitment, you propose and she stops talking to you or seeing you for a few days is plain bad.I would be pissed.
I can see her (whoever the person was) taking time to make a commitment or say no, but to stop seeing you and taking your calls is plain bullshit to me. Sorry brotha, not trying to be rude or ruin your day but that is me.How can you care and love someone and just ignore them for days or not answer their calls. Marriage is a formality in my mind, but making a decision to be with someone is reality, either way if you really love someone why would you not talk to them just because they asked you to live the rest of their life with you. It makes o sense to me but hey what do I know just saying what is in my mind.

Yup, sounds like she's gun shy. Question is if she comes around and says yes, how will she handle conflicts after you guys say "I do"?
