Living with Cloudflare all positive experience

So it's been 6 days we upgraded the server, waste of time to be honest but whatever. I added Cloudflare here, it's done really well. I noticed hundreds of thousands of bots in 24 hours from Singapore so I blocked all hits from there. It helped a lot then I saw a huge spike in bots today, I clicked on the "under Attack mode" it throws up a verification page that lasts a few seconds, it clean out bots fast. I guess it stops the DownNotifier bot too. That is a free service that monitors if your website is down and sends you an email.

Cloudflare is really nice.

peace.

Does that Cloudflare verification page that lasts for a couple of seconds bother anyone?

I literally blocks all bots from what I see and the board speeds up so if it does not bother anyone I'll use it more often. Like now where there were 11,260 bots online in the past 5 minutes. They are all blocked.

You know Cloudflare generates over 2 billion US dollars a year in revenues, they are massive.

You will be seeing more Cloudflare monitored sites as bots have become a real pest online.

That's something you really need google analytics in order to answer. So you can see where the traffic is dropping off

One thing I will say is that google analytics seems to be able to filter a lot of bot traffic. Whenever we get attacked, we can see it in our internal stats, and the server stats but it doesn't seem to show up in google stats. Not sure if that's by design or what but it helps to keep a clearer picture of what users are actually doing

As of last night I am using cloudflare for my sites and it's a good solution for bots crashing my databases.
Stop looking for reps if they don't care why waste your time and traffic at their program, fuck that.

Do I care, like now I saw thousands of bots on the board and turned on the "Under attack" mode. All is good for now. Who cares about seo when your site is not loading due to an attack. First of all you want the website functioning fast, then worry about seo.

I suppose it's obvious when to arm "The under attack mode" feature then how do you know to turn off the "The Under attack mode" feature?

I watch the Cloudflare stats once in a while and just turn it off, if bots are piling up again I turn it back on.
