Google Analytics will give you location and, in this industry, you can pretty much guarantee the gender is going to be male.

Server logs are fine but they don't give you the insights that Google Analytics does

You really can't run a site without GA these days. Just google "how to setup google analytics" and there are plenty of guides with or without Word Press

Oh and you don't need a separate account for each site. You can hook all your sites up under one account. Then its simply a case of copying a bit of code to your pages
