Trump might still get the Nobel Peace Prize via María Corina Machado

https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/tru ... 36371.html

"WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump said he'll discuss Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado's offer to give him her Nobel Peace Prize during a visit next week.

"I have to speak to her," Trump said during a meeting with oil company executives on Jan. 9 to discuss the future of the beleaguered Latin American country's resources. "I think it's very nice she wants to come in, and that's what I understand the reason is.""

"Nobel Institute says Peace Prize cannot be transferred after Machado suggestion"

"PALM BEACH, Florida, Jan 10 (Reuters) - The Norwegian Nobel Institute said the Nobel Peace Prize cannot be transferred, shared, or revoked, following remarks by Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado suggesting she might give her 2025 award to U.S. President Donald Trump.
In a statement, the institute said the decision to award a Nobel Prize is final and permanent, citing the statutes of the Nobel Foundation, which do not allow appeals. The organization also noted that committees awarding the prizes do not comment on the actions or statements of laureates after receiving awards."

Trump claims to have stopped 8 wars but last year alone he bombed 7 countries - Venezuela, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Nigeria and Somalia. (Oh and don't forget all the boat strikes in international waters). And now he's threatening to attack Cuba, Columbia and Greenland !!

The fact that the Nobel Institute has had to make a statement saying that the prize is non-transferable just goes to show how ridiculous all this is. Trump is completely obsessed with a Nobel Peace Prize and everybody knows it. You've got FIFA giving him a pretend peace prize, Netenyahu nominating him for it and now María Machado offering to give him hers. They are all doing it because they know Trump's favor can be bought.

Look at Apple. Their CEO gave him that gold disc, next thing you know Apple's tariffs have been cut in half. Qatar gives him a $400 million jet, couple of weeks later Trump announces that any attack on Qatar will be considered an attack on the USA. You've got all those companies funding his ballroom, not because they seriously believe we need a gi-fuckin-normous ballroom next to the white house but because its yet another way Trump's favor can be bought.

I don't know about you but as an American citizen, I don't feel comfortable knowing that my president can be so easily bought. And I live in the UK so I can tell you that the rest of the world over here is laughing their asses off behind America's back.

Do not forget IRAN, he bombed then the first time to get rid of their nuclear sites and said it was accomplished, this time he';s going to do it to help the people over throw their government. The excuse is the government forces are killing protesters...... He's trigger happy.

There is still Canada on the horizon he might make a move on.

This is ridiculous. Any normal president would have simply congratulated her on winning the Nobel prize and left it at that. But with Trump, she had no choice. Imagine if she had come over to the White House and NOT given Trump her medal ??? There would be all kinds of backlash and she wouldn't stand a hope in hells chance of being president one day, even though she won the election by a landslide.

Why did she even come Trump said he did not believe she could be the president after Maduro was removed.

"President Donald Trump said the leader of the Venezuelan opposition doesn't have the "respect" of the country to govern following the ousting of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro."

Whether Trump thinks that María Machado has the "respect of the country" or not is irrelevant. She is who the Venezuelan people voted for (by a long way) and therefore she is the ONLY person with a legitimate right to be president of Venezuela. Instead Trump has simply pushed her aside, declared himself as president and is now ransacking all their oil at gun point !! How is that in any way democratic ??

Also what happened to this being about drugs ?? They killed over 100 people with those boat strikes without any due process, congressional approval or even providing any evidence. Now Trump has got his hands on their oil, there is no mention of drugs anymore.

Now that he has ordered a war on Iran, do you still think he deserves a Nobel Peace Prize?
