what BOTS to allow

Is there a quick list of bots to allow and not allow on a site I can add to my htaccess file. My server is flooding with useless bots and I have to add them one at a time as i see them on my logs. A list of allow and disallow would be a gem.

Thank you all for your attention and help.

I am fine with bots on my sites it is when they try register to the WP sites that things get slow and make me upset they are doing those false registrations.
