It came real good starting 7pm last night and there is a good 4 inches out there, my sister lost power around 10.30pm and she's over here with her baby. Power outages are the worst part of Winter here. How you all doing.

People think the power goes out because of the snow it’s because the snow makes branches heavy and they break or the tree falls on power lines. I saw this in upstate NY when they had a bad snow storm.

Why do we still have power lines in the air not underneath the pavement. It seems so obvious to me, every year heavy winds, snow, and ice causes lines to crash and we go without power for hours to days at a time. The province needs to pass a mandatory law where all new construction has to be fitted with power under ground not on poles and any repairs need to be done to move the over head lines underground.

It's cheaper and easier to build but I agree it looks ugly and the lines fall causing outages.

We can hope for snow at Christmas but realistically speaking we won;t see any.
