I don't think ANYBODY would disagree with having your REAL gender on your passport. We certainly do that here in Europe. The point is that Trump is trying to say that the "radical left" are all for having transgenders put the gender they identify with on their passport, which is just pure bullshit !

It's just another case of Trump trying to score cheap political points by picking on a TINY minority of the American people.

Do other countries give parents the option to pick a third gender for their new borns?

In the UK there are 2 options for sex on a birth certificate, male or female. There is no third option "X"

The UK Supreme Court ruled the legal definition of a "woman" in the Equality Act of 2010 refers to biological sex, which is male or female. Yes you can apply and obtain a Gender Recognition Certificate but it will still reflect your biological sex at birth on your official documents. Unless something changed that I am not aware of.

What is so wrong with having your sex on your passport. That is what you were born as. Gender identification is a thing where you can change over time so it is not a permanent identifier of a person. You can be born male grow up identify as bisexual, then gay, then want to transition to a trans woman, see my point?
