This was a popular tube script back in the day, it must suck for all the people who bought it and built tubes and when flash went out of style their tubes are broken.

So after reading all the posts here, it is my conclusion that tubex is a non-starter today.

Yes, if you want a simple install of something without programming/customization needs TubeX isnt it ...

Fair enough so what other script(s) allow you to run a real tube with user uploads, not just importing yourself.

Well Mechbunny does, but pricing wise that one is a bit wild for another other than 1-site bigger projects... (ie youd be crazy to build 10 feeder tubes on that platform)

I would imagine a few hours of a programmers time - so depends who you hire but it wouldnt be a fortune
I am not sure if the license allows you to sell it commercially though, havent checked but my best bet is the free-to-use license forbids it (and you might get problems with prior customers who paid for it too - who would demand support)

OK so how much money will it take for me to hire a programmer to do it exclusively for me.

Hard to say, a few hundred probably (potentially way less if you can find an Indian at 7-8usd/hour)

I'd say $200 and it can be done, it's not as hard as it seems to non-techy types.
