My server gets slow at times and it can not be the traffic to my sites, is it possible I am not on a true dedicated server, how can I check to make sure it is just me on the server.

I am the guy gotnude was talking about , sorry to come late to the party but i saw and ready many idiot posts , let me answer for all.
1. servers can or cannot have multiple IP's .
2. one IP can or cannot have multiple sites on it.
3. No by reversing an IP u cannot 100% accurately tell if its a dedicated server , it can also be a VPS with one dedicated ip and your site on it , that does not means its a dedicated server .
4. We can mask a sites ip very easily using cloudflare or many other things which will make a shared IP look like a dedicated.
5. if they do not provide you root access it could mean a. its a managed server and they dont want you to fuck around , b. they are lying about it and its a VPS with shared resources.
6. Yes I can find it for you by using root access or at least a cpanel access or ftp what kind of a server it is .

I asked a friend who knows a thing or two about servers and he said yes it is the most reliable method.
