But Trump has hinted he might wipe out the Iranians, so it's okay to nuke them in case they might develop nukes. Is that even logical when his own advisers said they are not developing nukes?tacnet wrote: ↑September 12th, 2026, 9:27 pmI honestly think this whole war started as a distraction from the Epstein files. Trump saw how quick and easy it was to take out Venezuela and he thought he could do the same again in Iran even though his own director of intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, testified to Congress that Iran was NOT trying to develop a nuclear weapon.
Make no mistake, we are in this mess because Trump was trying to cover his ass

"Overall, 29% of US adults approve of Trump’s handling of foreign affairs, a new low in CNN polling across both of his terms as president, while 71% say they disapprove. More see his foreign policy decisions this term as harming America’s standing in the world rather than helping it. Only 26% say they approve of the president’s handling of the situation in Iran, down from 33% a month after the war began. "

Trump is not backing down from doing something really catastrophic in Iran.
"Trump says he faces a decision on Iran: make a deal or ‘annihilate’ the country
Speaking to the United Nations General Assembly, Trump threatened to drive Iran "into hell with no chance of survival."

Let's play devil's advocate, what if trump makes good on his threats of annihilating Iran, which my guess is using nuclear weapons.
Will countries distance themselves form us and not want to do business or will they get scared and say we best do what Trump says or he might nuke us next.
What are your thoughts?

Any country that drops a nuke will be immediately isolated by the rest of the world. No country could justify allying itself with Trump if he crossed that line24alex wrote: ↑September 24th, 2026, 10:37 amLet's play devil's advocate, what if trump makes good on his threats of annihilating Iran, which my guess is using nuclear weapons.

In fact, I think if he dropped a nuke on Iran, he would do more damage to America than he would Iran

There is a glimmer of hope the war can end.
Read it on https://timesofmalta.com/article/iran-p ... ia.1134640
It starts with,
"
Iran has submitted a proposal to the United States to end their war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days, its foreign minister told media outlets in New York.
"If certain conditions are met, the strait will be open within seven days, and talks will start," Abbas Araghchi, who is in the US for the UN General Assembly, told media outlets including the New York Times and The Guardian.
Japanese news agency Kyodo was the first to report the proposal, citing a senior Iranian official on Tuesday.
Iranian media, however, denied the Kyodo report, while authorities in Tehran have not clarified their position.
Araghchi also met for talks on Tuesday with US President Donald Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff.
Iran has previously set out seven conditions for ending the war and reopening the strait.
According to Araghchi, as quoted by the New York Times, the latest plan calls for a cessation of all hostilities in the Middle East for seven days, including in Lebanon.
It also calls for the release of frozen Iranian assets estimated to be worth at least $12 billion, as well as the lifting of sanctions on Iranian oil and an end to the US naval blockade of Iran.
On the seventh day of the truce, Iran would reopen Hormuz.
Araghchi said he was waiting for a US response to the plan and maintained that China supported the proposal."
