Lets say France or any other nato country sends in soldiers do you really think Russia will dare attack them or the country they came from. We will flatten Russia if they kill one of our soldiers.

I doubt they will care where the troops are from if they are fighting them they are fair game. I hope we do not get to that point.

I totally agree.

Every time people judge other people by their religion, the colour of their skin, their sexuality, their gender, where they come etc then it leads to hate speech and bad things happen .....EVERY SINGLE TIME !

If anybody cant abide by those simple rules then dont post. We shouldn't need the Butcher to worry about every single post

This Pope is pretty cool and talks some sense. I agree with his statement and yours Brassmonkey. The only thing to come with everyday this war goes on is more people dying and more territory lost by Ukraine.

the crazy thing is they can't ceasefire. they are taking fire and they are carrying out fire missions. i think they are going to call the worlds bluff and take it entirely. nobody is fool enough to put boots on the ground against a nuclear power....

It sends a clear and undenyable signal to other dictatorships around the world that international law means nothing, might is right and that they can get away with invading a smaller weaker neighbour. Dont forget who Putin's allies are - China who is already stated they will re-unite Taiwan with mainland China, Iran who have declared that they will wipe out Israel and North Korea who are on the verge of obtaining nuclear weapons.

You might argue that the USA has invaded countries in the past so whats the difference ??? Firstly, the USA is a democracy and answerable to its people. If the people dont agree with what the government is doing then they can vote them out. There are no such limitations for dictators like Putin, President Xi or Kim-Yung-Whatsisname. Secondly, the USA has never tried to expand its borders through war like Russia is doing right now and China is threatening to do
