Just been chatting to one of our affiliates regarding this and I can foresee a big problem with this, especially for free porn sites

So these days there are 2 main methods of age estimation (note estimation rather than verification). But here's the problem. Age Estimation companies will obviously charge for this service. The affiliate I mentioned gets over 100K visits a day from the UK and he was quoted 30 cents per user. That's $30k A DAY just to age verify UK users !!!. Obviously he doesn't make anywhere near that amount out of his UK traffic (or even his global traffic). Imagine what the cost would be for the likes of Pornhub or Xvideos ??? Even if they got a massive bulk discount, they are probably looking at over $100k a day just to age verify their UK users !!

As a sponsor, we have a 2nd option and that is to go down the Only Fans route (ie dont show any porn on the free side, only once they have signed up with a credit card and therefore verified their age) but I really cant see how any free porn site is going to be able to cost justify doing business in the UK.

Hopefully someone will come up with a free solution or the likes of Pornhub will challenge it in the courts

I'll say it again, let parents be parents, keep government out of raising kids.Until your child is an adult, and most places that means 18 years old, you as the parent are responsible for their health, upbringing, actions. My son is well over 18 and I still do my best as a father to make sure he is living well, I don;t mean just money he doesn't need it he works but being a parent is does not end once they can walk and talk. It is for life.

They dont need to do that these days. They can simply enter an email address and (somehow) they can estimate an age from that. OR they estimate the age from a selfie. Accuracy is apparently 99.8% which is good enough for any of these laws

The problem is that website owners will be charged for each user that is processed. One affiliate we work with has over 100k hits from the UK per day and he was quoted 30 cents a user. That's $30k a day just to age verify his UK users. Even the slickest free porn site might only convert say 1 in 5000 visitors which means that 1 sale has got to pay for age verifying the other 4,999.

No website in the world (not even the likes of Pornhub) is going to be able to cost justify this
