It sounds ridiculous banning an app for security every app tracks you

It's beat up on China season if this app was owned by any other country no one would care.

I am quite surprised no other social media platform has come out with their own clone of TikTok especially in light of this move that has been openly talked about for quite some time now.

My problem is making a company sell their app or product by law. It can happen to our companies in other countries too. That is not good for business.

This is a bad precedent if it happens. We have major business interests in China and they might force those businesses to sell to a Chinese entity of be closed.

It hardly sounds fair to make a company sell by passing a law.If it is a public company ownership is really not the same as if a Chinese dude owned it outright but what do I know about you yanks I'm a simple Aussie.

There are hundreds of Chinese companies in America this might signal them to divest and sell before they get forced to do it. It sounds patriotic yet it turns away foreign investment which is not good for job creation.
