I believe it is all about getting s close to the 1 billion as they can, I honestly do not see a judge making him close the deal at $44B. Time will tell how this one plays out.

Twitter has a market cap of what $37.7B or there about now, he would have to be stupid not to let go of $1b instead of paying $44B. And he is not stupid, to the contrary he is a shrewd businessman. No one buys a company for $44B when it is $6.3B above market cap.

I am 99.999% sure he will not buy at $44 Billion and have said it in this thread after he said what he did about some of the accounts. I think they will get close to 1 billion in the cancellation clause agreed upon and that's it.

N one is scamming anyone,he believes he has a legitimate gripe about the users. The only way I see him buying is if there is a new agreed price.

I still say the most he will end up losing is one billion dollars tops.
