You made me think twice about using subdomains, never thought about the traffic and seo to the root of the domain when setting up subs.tacnet wrote: ↑May 29th, 2022, 3:30 pmJust to give an example of where subfolders work better :-
We get a lot of users searching for individual girls on our network eg CurvyClaire is one of our top sellers
Therefore, we deliberately put all our girls onto one domain ie https://www.tacamateurs.com/curvyclaire/ . That way, anybody searching for "CurvyClaire" will have an SEO benefit for tacamateurs
If we had setup a subdomain instead ie. https://www.curvyclaire.tacamateurs.com than tacamateurs would get NO benefit from those searches. All the "link juice" would just go to that subdomain
[BUSINESS] I am seeing more and more subdomains

I been saying this for a while
subdomains are the NEW TLDs>
especially on great domains and sites with lots of descent content
especially community sites.
You have to be able to read and have access to statistics to comprehend all this.
No they are not. Subdomains are not TLD's if they were you would be able to register a subdomain at Godaddy.

Google likes subdomains why I am creating more of them instead of directories.

Actually most of the time its completely the opposite
If you create more and more subdomains then you are simply splitting your SEO juice between more and more sites. Google sees each subdomain as a completely seperate site and does not pass ranking points between them
If on the other hand you use directories then all that SEO juice is combined into one site
See example below
