We have every thing in Los Angeles I want, the only problem we have is the homeless sprawled all over the walkways. Otherwise LA is it for me.

Honestly, what I miss the most was my studio apartment in Mt. View, up in Silicone Valley. It was about $550... in 1989. It's probably 2k a month now. And a lot changed, most notably The Daybreak, a Lesbian bar around the corner got bulldozed and turned into a Walgreens.
I liked Glendale a lot. And despite some of the Armenian vs. Latino teen violence, it was pretty quiet. I bicycled all over.
Canoga Park feels a little ghetto. The block is nice. Peeps from the animal shelter walk dogs through here regularly, lots of family walk and during the summer you can find whole families walking at night along the Orange Line bike path as the evening cools off. But a few blocks away we still have camps, and it's not for the dainty or dandy.
I really liked Chatsworth. I had a nice little studio appt on De Soto, a short walk from a liquor store. The tricky part is it can be expensive, boring AF and 100+ in the summers. It was a good place to go somewhere else from.

LA has so much to offer that you can not find in any other major city.
