I agree with most of what you said, the reason given and it is a valid one for not getting involved is. The US Congress did not declare a war and it was a war of choice by trump for his boss Netanyahu who has been advocating this war for at least 30 if not 40 years.tacnet wrote: ↑April 16th, 2026, 1:22 pmI think it's ironic that NATO countries have refused to get involved in Trump's war with Iran but one country that IS helping is Ukraine
They have sent hundreds of drone experts and interceptor drones to various gulf countries to help them deal with Iran's shaheed drones. Ukraine has years of experience in taking out these drones and now they are using that expertise to help America in the straits of Hormuz. In return, gulf countries are giving their support to Ukraine in their war with Russia
So in a nutshell, in the middle east you've got Russia supporting Iran and Ukraine supporting America. Yet in Europe, America has all but pulled its support for Ukraine and instead is pushing Russia's agenda ???
This war could be quickly ended if Trump stopped cozying up to Putin and instead, helped Ukraine push the Russians back. Not all the way, but once they start loosing territory then Putin will be much more open to a peace deal.

President negotiated a Saturday to Monday ceasefire, and a prisoner swap, that's a good move by him.

An important statements by Putin yesterday at the Victory day celebrations.
"Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he thinks Russia's conflict with Ukraine is coming to an end, addressing reporters after a scaled-back military parade in Moscow marking the Soviet victory in World War Two.
"I think that the matter is coming to an end," he said, referring to the "special military operation" in Ukraine, while condemning Western support for the Kyiv government. "

Kiev would fold like a house of cards without external support and Zelensky does not appreciate this fact he keeps asking for more money.

It seems the momentum in this war is shifting towards Ukraine. Multiple NATO and US Intelligence reports show that in April and May this year, Russia suffered a net LOSS of territory (first time since Ukraine's 2023 counter attack). And we are not just talking a few square miles, they've lost 100s squared kilometers each month. This is largely due to the fact that Ukraine can now hit pretty much anywhere in Russia and they are going after the oil and logistics that support Putin's war machine.
And even Marco Rubio made a shocking statement a few days ago. For the first time in history, the death figures outweigh the casualty figures for Russia !!

You don't seem to realize that if Ukraine falls, then Putin's next target will undoubtedly be the Baltic States. That's NATO and that means we are all at war. Its imperative that we support Ukraine in stopping Putin before it gets to that. Also worth pointing out the the US has all but cut off its aid to Ukraine. The support they are getting now is from Europe, Canada, Japan and the middle east (where they just helped dozens of countries to protect themselves against Iran's drones)jasper wrote: ↑May 13th, 2026, 6:47 amTheButcher wrote: ↑May 10th, 2026, 9:52 amAn important statements by Putin yesterday at the Victory day celebrations.

When you think that just a year ago, Ukraine couldn't even reach Moscow. Now they've shown they can hit it whenever they want using their own "made in Ukraine" weapons
This strike was in retaliation for Russia's attack on Kyiv last week. Watch the roof blow off this thing :-
After this strike, Zelensky offered to meet Putin face-to-face at the G7 meeting but Putin refused

According to several news outlets, Russia has started rationing fuel across two thirds of its territories, restricting customers to 20 liters (5-8 US gallon) leading to massive ques at gas stations. In Crimea it's even worse. A state of emergency has been declared as drivers can't get ANY fuel at all because its ONLY for the military and emergency vehicles.
Also, it seems that something might be happening along the border with the Baltic states. Yesterday, Putin cut off all rail links into Finland, Estonia and Latvia without giving any explanation (the latter two had been running throughout the war for goods transport to and from Russia) and locals on the Russian side have been banned from the border area. NATO are worried that this could be the lead up to some kind of False Flag operation. Which would make sense because it would give Putin the opportunity to blame NATO for all the fuel shortages and get his people rallied behind him again.
Defense expert, Professor Michael Clark of Sky/BBC said "Putin knows that he has a friend in the White House at least until 2028 and he calculates that if he causes some kind of intervention in the Baltic States, then America ( and possibly some of the southern NATO members) won't get involved and that means NATO's article 5 'an attack on one is an attack on all' will be dead and buried"

Have you seen this news;
https://www.dw.com/en/nord-stream-blast ... a-77798230
"Ukrainian state authorities were behind the 2022 sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines linking Russia with Europe, German prosecutors said on Thursday.
In a statement detailing the charges brought against suspect Serhii K. on Wednesday, prosecutors said that he and six accomplices had acted "on the orders of state authorities in Ukraine."
According to prosecutors, K., now 50, was an "officer in the Ukrainian army" at the time of the operation, and his accomplices were also "military personnel."
Prosecutors said the plan was to "destroy the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines" with the objective of "permanently halting gas supplies via the pipelines and preventing Russia from using the revenue from natural gas trade to finance its war efforts."
Germany is one of the biggest military backers of Ukraine in its battle against the ongoing Russian invasion, making the incident potentially diplomatically awkward. Before the war, Germany covered a considerable part of its energy needs with fuel and gas from Russia.
Ukrainian authorities said they lacked sufficient information about the case to respond in detail to the German prosecutors' allegations."

I dont blame them. If I was in Ukraine's position, and my allies were buying oil from my enemy allowing him to fuel his war machine and invade my country, then I would do everything I could to cut that supply offblingman wrote: ↑July 3rd, 2026, 8:40 amHave you seen this news;

The war is clearly turning against Russia. Now its a question of whether Putin will back down or escalate. NATO thinks he is likely to escalate because backing down could mean him being dragged out of office and possibly executed. Dictators like Putin rarely enjoy a long and peaceful retirement. Just look at Saddam Hussein and Gadaffi
