One thing with president Trump I have noticed is he likes to throw out deadlines ( especially for tariffs) then either extend them or bring them forward. I doubt the Russians are going to pay much attention to this deadline, they are going to carry on with their SMO until all goals are achieved.

No he won't send in troops. What he has said is that he will impose secondary sanctions (ie sanctions against any country that buys Russian gas and oil). That would really hurt Putin's war machine

My money is on Valerii Zaluzhnyi being brought to Ukraine. Zelensky has lived his usefulness and Washington and in some part London have decided they need another useful idiot to be their front man for the proxy war.

My money is that the Russian economy will collapse either end of 2025 or first part of 2026. They are already on the edge of a major recession. Once that happens, Putin will have no choice but to end this war.
