You probably need to set the value of upload_max_filesize and post_max_size in your php.ini :

Say for instance:

; Maximum allowed size for uploaded files.
upload_max_filesize = 1000M

; Must be greater than or equal to upload_max_filesize
post_max_size = 1000M

....or ask your host to do it

You want me to crash the server

Anything I do on it ends up messing everything up, so I leave it to my host , I opened a ticked they replied they changed it to "upload_max_filesize has been increased to 1000M" 2 quick questions is that enough and can you please try.

Yep - that did it

Select the video file you would like to upload. Your video must meet the following requirements:
The video can be up to 0.98GB in size
The video can be up to 03:00:00 in duration
The video file extension can be one of: avi,mpg,mpeg,flv,f4v,rm,asf,wmv,mov,mp4,ts,m2t

I had to manually force chrome to allow flash (swf) to run on this domain - or the TubeX upload button wouldnt load. Might annoy/confuse users - only solution would be to edit the Tubex source code and replace swf buttons

Uploaded a 300mb file, tubex accepted it and uploaded succesfully - but then gave the error:

Please fix the following issues with the data you submitted:
The uploaded file exceeds the maximum filesize that this server can handle. Please select a smaller file.

I see it, approved it, now there is another issue,

Flash version 9,0 or greater is required
You have no flash plugin installed

Flash is toast so I guess flash won't work on the script.

Yes, flash is a menace now ...

Dont we have a script wiz around willing to replace the flash-player and flash buttons with something useful ? Maybe you could offer some friendly reward

Off the top of my head I am thinking of HeidiHoe, Colmike7, AndyR, AndreBills.

I asked my techs at the host to have a look.

Filmlatex, the techs installed ffmpeg said it should be okay now. I deleted the video, one of 2 ideas, maybe because it's flash the script is messing up but who knows, any chance you have a video in another format you can upload please.

No I meant the video i uploaded previously was mp4.
But the player is flash based & maybe in processing uploaded videos it might convert to a flash format

I just ran a test on the site, it gave these errors, I opened a ticket with my host to see if they can add those things to the server, maybe that is the problem. I am not giving up on this tubex, used it a few times over the years and liked it.

The mencoder program is not installed on your server.
You will not be able to use the video conversion features.

mplayer The mplayer program is not installed on your server.
You will not be able to use the video thumbnail grabbing feature of the software.

yamdi The yamdi program is not installed on your server.
You will not be able to create streamable FLV videos.

MP4Box The MP4Box program is not installed on your server.
You will not be able to create high quality H.264 videos.
