My 2 cents this is going to be widespread across countries.
All we have to do is ban people entering from countries known to have cases

Reuters has an article a few minutes ago listing countries that are increasing screening and restricting travel.

"May 27 (Reuters) - The World Health Organization on Saturday, May 17, declared an Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo a Public Health Emergency of International Concern and said there was a high risk it could spread to neighbouring countries.
The decision has prompted governments to step up travel-related containment measures. Here is a list of screening steps and travel restrictions announced by different countries."

Let's hope this does not spread because people with Ebola travel to participate or see the FIFA world cup

Three Ebola vaccines are being worked on.....

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cn8pw93929wo

"Three new vaccines are being developed to tackle the rare species of Ebola that has already killed nearly 250 people.

The International Aids Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), which is working on one vaccine, said the outbreak was threatening to be the worst ever.

The University of Oxford and the pharma company Moderna are also researching vaccines against the Bundibugyo species.

The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, which is providing funding to each group, said "every day counts".

There are now more than 1,000 suspected cases in the DR Congo with nine confirmed cases in neighbouring Uganda."

Good point. Tens of thousands of people are about to travel to the US, Canada and Mexico !!!

I wonder how many MAGA supporters still think Trump pulling out of the WHO was a good idea ????

I just do not understand why he decided the WHO was not for America, it makes no sense to me.

Totally agree and its not just funding he's withdrawn, hundreds of US staff have been withdrawn from WHO offices all over the world (including in the Congo where this outbreak is taking place). There's no more data sharing going on between US health officials and the WHO and with Trump gutting USAID, there are millions of poor people around the world no longer have access to basic medication. If they did, then this outbreak might not have happened

If there is one thing we learned from Covid is that we need a GLOBAL response to these kind of threats
