I busted my ass off a few years ago doing this with almost all of my sites and yes they worked and looked good with everything scaling up and down and adjusting and morphing about or whatever the fucking fuck it's called.... Now the only difference I see is depending on what the cell phone is using and personal settings etc... Even the ones I did not do still look and work ok now with modern phones etc whereas before they did not (well they did but looked very clumbsy).... The one's I did do look and still act the way I intened them to (thank fuck).

Does any of that make any sense ?

I think the bottom line is these days it is more a case of keeping Google happy rather than the surfer as the surfer will quickly adapt if they want to see your site in a better view so to speak... but Google won't tollerate such sloppyness ! and the fuckers will bite you for it !
