I get the other one , was thinking they just closed my account after 12 years without a warning. So it is not just me, thanks for checking.

Seems ok now, earlier it was taking about an hour to receive emails for me. Just general problems on their end.

Now it logs in but a red warning pops up

It is slow to check mail, must be a backend issue with them.

Google sites are having problems this morning, more important question is what will we do if they close our Gmail, what will we do with all the emails that are saved over time.

it was in the news that their sites like youtube etc were down - but all should be fixed by now

A Google spokesperson has now provided us directly with a statement about the outage:
today, at 3.47AM PT Google experienced an authentication system outage for approximately 45 minutes due to an internal storage quota issue. Services requiring users to log in experienced high error rates during this period. The authentication system issue was resolved at 4:32AM PT. All services are now restored. We apologise to everyone affected, and we will conduct a thorough follow up review to ensure this problem cannot recur in the future.

No idea how to send all emails to another email , does any body know.

No idea how to send all emails to another email , does any body know.

You can import other Gmail account emails into Gmail, not really sure about others other than importing into a Mail app.
(Settings > Accounts and Import > Import mail and contacts )

use your own email and mail client on your server, you will always own your emails.
