Cadillac was the premier luxury brand 50 years ago.Until they gave up on building large V* cars and tried to downsize to emulate the European and Japanese cars. I would buy one today but they were innovating back in their day. They seem to have lost the vision what a Cadillac should be.

They were the first in.

1. The synchromesh gearbox.
2. Fully covered car.
3.Automatic climate control.
4. Electirc starter.

I might have missedsome, but they sure were out there in the time.

They weren't called land yachts for no reason, most cars form that era were humongous. Gas was cheap and status meant some thing.
