What are the Most Common Misconceptions People Have About Fuck Buddys?

If you’re like me and met a fuck buddy through findafuckbuddy, you might think that this is the best thing since sliced bread. Seriously. You might think that this is just the most amazing thing that ever happened to you. But believe it or not, you are actually paying a big price for the ability to have fuck buddies because ultimately, it really comes down to choosing a friend or keeping somebody around for sex.

It may seem like you can do both at the same time, but just like the myth of multitasking, this is actually too good to be true. Fuck buddies, ultimately, either just become buddies or they disappear from your life because you moved on, or the person who used to have sex with you on a casual and friendly basis have simply found other things to do with his or her life. Do you see how this works? This is one of the most common misconceptions regarding fuck buddies. It is basically just a friend you have sex with.

Well, it really boils down to purity of purpose. Either you're going to have a pure friend, which is just purely for friendship purposes, or you're just going to have a pure sex partner. It's nice to think that there is some sort of hybrid solution, just as it's nice and tempting to think that there is such a thing as multitasking, but believe me, if you try to multitask, eventually, a lot of the balls you're juggling up in the air will crash down. That's just part of life. That's just the way things play out.

The same applies with fuck buddies because there are just so many different misconceptions there and it really all boils down to whether you can keep a friend or you can keep somebody as a sex partner. It's really hard to mix both over the long run. In the short term, it may seem like it's working out. In the short term, you might be tempted to believe that you've succeeded in finding this rare unicorn of a person.

Imagine being platonic friends with somebody. You can talk about real deep subjects with this person and feel really accepted and emotionally involved in a non-romantic way. On the other hand, you also get to have sex with the person. It's like you get to have your cake and eat it too.

Well, as you can probably well imagine, such situations probably don't last too long. And don't be surprised if the same plays out here. So understand that this is a very hard situation to put yourself in and it's probably better to just focus on either having a friend or a sex partner, but not both.
