I messed up my Iphone be warned

not to do the same thing, I bought a $3 power cord from the gas station to have one in my boyfriends house so I don;t have to always carry my charger and cord, after a week using that non-Apple cord now my Iphone wil not charge using the original cord it came with. I am so mad at myself.

I just bought this new Iphone on Boxing day. Sharing my bad experience so you guys do not make the same mistake, always charge the Iphone with the Apple cord.

Been there done that with my ipad a few years ago, save a few bucks on the accessory and pay the price in the long run.

Is it the iPhone 5? There's apparently a chip in that phone that can be fried with 3rd party chargers, and iPhone chargers should be MFi certified.
Call around local repair shops, I recently fixed my phone's charging problem for $50.
