Has anyone worked with Authorize.net Webhooks?

Implementing Authorize.net and their payment API, just checking to see if anyone has any experience with its custom webhook system and any quirks it has.

Was hoping their API would stick to "send request-> get result response->handle response".

But instead I have "send request" then use webhooks to check transaction events, approved, cancelled, declined, etc.. Really missing the stripe api right about now.

I do know 'Authorize' has been around for a long time and is a solid operation. That is all I can chip in here.
