Look at Costco their hot dogs must be at cost if that but they still sell them.

I doubt they are at cost.

when you buy in bulk or won a piece of the company you buy from, the prices are very very low.

Over the years I have worked with several wholesale companies and you would not believe the mark up to the average consumer.
we are told they barely make any money, when the truth is, some products have over 1000% mark up or more.

Few have a very low mark up. I am not aware of any that have prices for a negative.
Unless it is a lagniappe. Those have the cost worked into the marketing budget.

A buck fifty for a 1/4lb beef hot dog, bun and 20oz soft drink surely has to be more.

put in an hour and get paid ten times minimum wage is an hour well spent.
put in an hour and get paid hundred times minimum wage is an hour well invested.
