Google update: AI porn on Google Ads will be banned starting May 30th 2024
AI porn on Google Ads will be banned starting May 30th 2024 I actually like this move by Google. Hopefully it will put a nail in the coffin of deepfake porn.
https://support.google.com/adspolicy/an ... 8728111-NC
"In May 2024, the Google Ads Inappropriate content policy will be updated to prohibit promoting synthetic content that has been altered or generated to be sexually explicit or contain nudity. We will begin enforcing the policy update on May 30, 2024.
Not allowed Content promoting the creation or distribution of synthetic content that has been altered or generated to be sexually explicit or contain nudity as described above.
Examples (non-exhaustive): sites or apps that claim to generate deepfake pornography, instructions on how to create deepfake pornography, endorsing or comparing deepfake pornography services
We take violations of this policy very seriously and consider them egregious. If we find violations of this policy, we will suspend your Google Ads accounts upon detection and without prior warning, and you will not be allowed to advertise with us again.
Please review this policy update to determine whether or not any of your ads fall in scope of the policy, and if so, remove those ads before May 30, 2024.

Google is turning away ad dollars that means they take it seriously.

Wait and see AI sites will figure out ways to get listed without raising a red flag.
