Good point but you also have to consider the geo politics of all this. If we dont stop Putin then China will have a strong ally in Russia if and when they do decide to make a move on Taiwan. China partnered with a victorious Russia would be a way more serious global threat than China alone. What the US spends in Ukraine is chump change compared to their GDP and its currently being hijacked by Trump and the MAGA republicans to score political pointsdom_trev wrote: ↑January 30th, 2024, 5:38 amWe gave all those billions to Ukraine and so much weapons, our main problem is not Ukraine or the Mid east, it is China. Are we now going back to wars in the middle east,we have been doing that one for decades. We get into another war then China will have no issues making a move for Taiwan, then what we going to do. I hope people in the WH are thinking straight and keeping the eye on the ball. It's China we have to keep an eye on.
As it is, China's economy is in a mess right now and they cant afford to go to war with the west (hence why President Xi visited the US recently) and they can expect little support from Russia as they are already in a war
And ontop of all that, the US involvement in the middle east is about keeping the Red Sea shipping routes open. Without that, the entire world is likely to suffer
The world is sure in a mess right now
