This is some good idea, instead of waiting an hour to charge your EV vehicle, drive it to a booth swap the dead battery for a fully charged onje in 5 minutes. This is what will make EV car ownership more practical.

If you can get a fully recharged battery in the time it takes to get a full tank of gas then it will definitely increase the usability of electric vehicles, I do not know anything about this setup, it looks promising. My question is are all electric car batteries the same size and shape?

They've been looking at this for a long while. The problem is that different cars take different batteries so it will only work with one type of car at a time
I think the only real solution they are going to get with the charging problem is Graphine batteries. They can take up to 4 times the charge of lithium ion batteries (so your looking at ranges of 700 - 800 miles per charge) and they can be charged in 8-10 minutes. Also they can build the body of the car with graphine so, effectively the car body becomes the battery. No more lugging round heavy lithium ion batteries
China have already brought out a prototype but upscaling the production is very difficult at the moment. Shouldn't think it will take them too long to nail it though

We need faster charging batteries and access to chargers, changing batteries seems more work than it seems.

We are years away from anything wide spread like this, gas stations have nothing to lose sleep over.

I have to agree. Its the battery technology that is holding us back at the moment, not the cars.
