Three big companies stopped doing business in Russia namely The Coca-Cola Company and PepsiCo and Starbucks.

When these companies stop doing business do they still pay rent for their places of business?

This I see happening very soon if the EU bans Russian oil, they already said they will turn of Nordstream1. Russia will sell the oil and gas at probably at lower prices to the Asian countries especially China. Who loses and who wins, let's think about it, the price of energy will keep on going up, businesses and individuals will end up paying more for every commodity. Let's not forget everything gets transported one way or another.

Then what will come is massive recession world wide. Maybe even a depression, remember 2008?

What will happen is we are pushing Russia closer to China, ultimately it will lead to the end of the petro-dollar which is what makes the USD the world currency.

I am not for war and not taking side, far form it, but instead of making statements blaming anyone for the situation we are faced with addressing the economic factors.

I agree. That is certainly a worry but I really cant see that we have any other choice ??

One way or another Putin HAS to be stopped. We tried the diplomatic approach but he wouldn't listen. Practically every world leader flew out to Moscow to talk with him but he ignored them all and chose to take Ukraine by force. We simply cannot let that happen

So our only options are an economic war (like we are doing now) or an all out war which nobody wants

This will cause us some pain in the short term (not long term) but it will cripple the Russian economy

Not sure China wants to get involved to be honest. I think if they were going to support Putin they would have done it by now

My guess is that China thinks its better to have a trading relationship with the US and EU rather than to rescue Putin
